The bracket for the American Athletic Conference men’s basketball tournament is set for this coming week at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

Wichita State’s NCAA Tournament hopes rest on winning four games in four days as the AAC Tournament’s No. 7 seed. The Shockers will play in the first round against Tulsa at 2 p.m. Thursday with the game broadcast on ESPNU. The winner advances to play No. 2 seed SMU in Friday’s quarterfinals in a 6 p.m. game broadcast on ESPNU.

WSU fans interested in traveling to Fort Worth to watch the Shockers can purchase AAC Tournament session tickets through Ticketmaster or single-game tickets.

Houston (26-5, 15-3 AAC) won the 2021-22 regular-season championship, while SMU (22-7, 13-4), Memphis (19-9, 13-5), Temple (17-11, 10-7) and Tulane (13-14, 10-8) earned first-round byes. The rest of the conference standings were as followed: UCF (17-11, 9-9), WSU (15-12, 6-9), Cincinnati (17-14, 7-11), East Carolina (15-14, 6-11), Tulsa (10-19, 4-14) and South Florida (8-22, 3-15).

Thursday, March 10 first round

Game 1: No. 9 East Carolina (15-14, 6-11) vs. No. 8 Cincinnati (17-14, 7-11), noon on ESPNU

Game 2: No. 10 Tulsa (10-19, 4-14) vs. No. 7 Wichita State (15-12, 6-9), 2 p.m. on ESPNU

Game 3: No. 11 South Florida (8-22, 3-15) vs. No. 6 UCF (17-11, 9-9), 6 p.m. on ESPNU

Friday, March 11 quarterfinals

Game 4: ECU-Cincinnati winner vs. No. 1 Houston (26-5, 15-3), noon on ESPN2

Game 5: No. 5 Tulane (13-14, 10-8) vs. No. 4 Temple (17-11, 10-7), 2 p.m. on ESPN2

Game 6: Tulsa-WSU winner vs. No. 2 SMU (22-7, 13-4), 6 p.m. on ESPNU

Game 7: USF-UCF winner vs. No. 3 Memphis (19-9, 13-5), 8 p.m. on ESPNU

Saturday, March 12 semifinals
