Wichita State women’s golf team struggles in NCAA opening round
Wichita State’s women’s golf team is in 17th place after the first round of the NCAA Raleigh (N.C.) Regional.
The Shockers, making their second straight NCAA appearance, shot a 312, ahead of only Fairleigh Dickinson’s 328. Bryce Schroeder leads WSU and is tied for 55th after carding a 77. Alejandra Arellano and Taryn Torgerson are tied for 67th with a 78.
LSU leads the regional with a 288, two strokes ahead of North Carolina State.
Round two is Friday and the regional ends on Saturday at Lonnie Poole Golf Course.
