Wichita State men’s golf team heads to California for NCAA regional
Wichita State’s men’s golf team is seeded 12th in an NCAA Regional next week in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.
The Shockers are making their eighth consecutive regional appearance after winning the Missouri Valley Conference title by 37 strokes. The 54-hole regional begins May 14 at The Farms Golf Club.
Arizona State is the top seed in the 13-team field, followed by Georgia Tech, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Virginia. The low five teams and low individual from each of the six regionals advance to the finals, beginning May 29 at The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Florida.
Kansas State’s Matt Green will play in the regional as an individual.
WSU’s women’s team is the No. 17 seed in the NCAA Regional in Raleigh, N.C. The regional begins Thursday at Lonnie Poole Golf Course.
