No. 13 Tennessee finally puts away WSU women

Wichita State’s women’s basketball team stayed with No. 13 Tennessee for the entire first half Monday, but the Lady Vols took control in the second half for a 68-56 victory in Knoxville, Tenn.

WSU (0-4) led 17-13 after one quarter and led 27-25 with a minute to play in the first half. Tennessee (3-0) outscored the Shockers 19-8 in the third quarter.

Diamond Lockhart had 13 points and Angie Tompkins and Jeliah Preston had 12 points each for WSU.
