Wichita State volleyball defeats Texas-San Antonio in 5 sets

Middle blocker Katie Reilly led Wichita State with 12 kills and the Shockers defeated Texas-San Antonio 3-2 (20-25, 25-23, 25-19, 19-25, 15-8) on Saturday in the Delta Zeta Classic in San Marcos, Texas.

The Shockers (4-3) never trailed in the final set, helped by six attack errors by the Roadrunners (2-3). Dani Mostrom’s ace ended the match.

Mikaela Raudsepp and MaryAshton Floyd both added 10 kills, although WSU hit just .146. Jenny Whitledge had eight kills and hit .259. Setter Emily Hiebert recorded 33 assists and nine digs.

Dempsey Thornton had 17 kills for Texas-San Antonio.
