Wichita State’s Alex Harden chosen honorable mention AP All-America
Wichita State senior Alex Harden earned honorable mention All-America honors from the Associated Press on Tuesday. She is the first Shocker to win All-America honors from the AP.
Harden, a guard from Springfield, Ill., averaged 17 points, 6 rebounds and 3.4 assists for the Shockers, who went 29-5 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. She was named Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year and to the All-Defense Team.
Harden ended her career at WSU’s career scoring leader with 1,708 points. She scored 22 points in WSU’s 78-66 loss to California in the NCAA Tournament.
