Wichita State’s McDuffie named to Erving Award watch list
Wichita State sophomore Markis McDuffie was named to the 20-person watch list for the Julius Erving Award, given to the nation’s top small forward.
McDuffie earned Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year honors last season when he averaged 7.4 points and 3.3 rebounds. He was also named to the Valley’s All-Bench and All-Newcomer teams.
The watch list will be narrowed to 10 in February and five finalists in March. The winner will be announced on April 7 at the ESPN College Basketball Awards.
