Wichita State sweeps Herm Wilson Invitational

Wichita State's Nikki Larch-Miller won four events to help the Shockers win the women's title at the Herm Wilson Invitational at the Heskett Center.

She won the 200 meters (24.74 seconds), the 400 (55.83), long jump (18 feet, 7 1/4 inches) and anchored the 1,600-meter relay team that won with a time of 3:49.85.

The Shockers totaled 195 points, defeating Texas-Arlington (130), Emporia State (87) and Oral Roberts (65.)

WSU's men also won the team title with Brady Johnson setting a meet record with a time of 8:22.46 in the 3,000 meters. The Shockers swept the weight throw with Weston Cottrell winning with a distance of 65-6 3/4.

The Shockers finished with 168 points, ahead of Texas-Arlington (133), Emporia State (111) and Oral Roberts (61).
