Friends’ Trevor Wessel named academic All-American

Friends linebacker Trevor Wessel has been named academic All-American for the college division by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

The college division is made up of schools in NAIA, Canada and community colleges.

Wessel (5-foot-11, 215 pounds), a business administration major, has a 3.84 grand-point average. He was third on the Friends team in tackles (56), with 23 solo stops. He played in high school at Heights and is the younger brother of Wichita State basketball player Evan Wessel.
