Tabor loses opener at NAIA World Series
Tabor will have to tip its hat to Embry-Riddle (Fla.) pitcher Stetson Nelson.
Nelson held Tabor without a hit for 5 1/3 innings as Embry-Riddle defeated the Bluejays 9-1 on Friday in the NAIA World Series opener in Lewiston, Idaho.
Tabor will face Lindsay-Wilson on Saturday at 11 a.m. and a loss would eliminated the Bluejays.
Alex Couch broke up the no-hitter with a single in the bottom of the sixth.
Tabor scored in the seventh. Colton Flax walked and Tanner Bell singled. After a wild pitch advanced the runners to second and third, Michael Baca scored Flax with an infield groundout.
