HAAC

No. 12 Benedictine (3-1, 0-0) at No. 4 Baker (4-0, 0-0), 1 p.m.

The opening week of Heart of America conference games begins with a biggie. Baker is first nationally in passing yards (1,626 in four games) and scoring (50.3 points). QB Logan Brettell has completed 75 percent of his passes with 17 TDs to two interceptions. Benedictine counters with a defense that has allowed less than 10 points a game.

The Falcons have given up 86 points in two games, including 41 in last week’s home loss to Saint Mary that included the Spires gaining an average of eight yards a play. Sterling, meanwhile, has the KCAC’s top scoring offense and defense.
