‘Crimson Chrome’ is newest KU football look
LAWRENCE – They are red, shiny and called “Crimson Chrome”. And they are apparently Kansas football’s latest alternate jersey.
KU unveiled the new Adidas look on Tuesday night, just a few hours after junior quarterback Michael Cummings surprised teammates while walking into a team meeting in the new threads.
The jersey combo features red pants, red tops and red helmets with a large Jayhawk head on the side. They also feature Jayhawk logos on the pants and shoulder pads. In a released YouTube video showing off the new look, Cummings is wearing a jersey with “Jayhawks” on the back. That, however, is just a demo, according to a KU official. The finished jerseys will have players’ names on the back.
