Wichitan Perry Ellis is one of four Kansas basketball seniors who will play in the May 6 KU barnstorming tour game at East High against a group of Wichita high school seniors.

Randy Boling, who’s organizing the East High stop on the seniors’ tour, said Ellis has committed to sign autographs with other Jayhawks at 6 p.m. and play an early portion of the game, which tips off at 8. He’ll also participate in a halftime auction.

Other Jayhawk seniors are Jamari Traylor, Hunter Mickelson and Evan Manning. Wichitan and former Jayhawk women’s All-American Lynette Woodard will be the KU team’s celebrity coach.

Wichita-area seniors scheduled to play include All-State players Jerrick Harding (Southeast) and Drew Pyle (McPherson), as well as Davon Gill (Heights) and Payten Ricks (Maize South).

Tickets are $14 and can be purchased in advance at Citizens Bank, Kansas Sampler, Sports Time Fan Shop and Tad’s Locker Room. Proceeds benefit the East baseball program.
