KU Jayhawks point guard Dajuan Harris lands NBA Summer League contract

Former University of Kansas guard Dajuan Harris has signed an NBA Summer League contract with the Charlotte Hornets.

Harris confirmed the news Friday on social media. Jon Chepkevich of Draft Express first reported the signing early Friday morning.

Harris was not selected in the two-round NBA Draft that concluded on Thursday night.

The Columbia native played his entire career with the Jayhawks. He averaged 9.2 points and 5.7 assists per game last season. He shot 43.9% from the field.

Listed at 6-2, 175 pounds, Harris made the Big 12 All-Defensive Team three times in his college career.

Harris is the all-time leader in minutes (5,154) and games played (173) at KU. He helped Kansas win an NCAA title in the 2022 season. Harris worked out for the Toronto Raptors, Detroit Pistons and Atlanta Hawks in the pre-draft process.
