Four Kansas Jayhawks football players earn invitations to NFL Scouting Combine

The Kansas Jayhawks football team will be well-represented at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine.

Four KU players earned invitations to the league’s annual pre-NFL Draft evaluation event: running back Devin Neal, tackle Logan Brown and cornerbacks Cobee Bryant and Mello Dotson.

The full list of players invited to the combine — 329 in all — was released Thursday. This year’s scouting combine starts Feb. 27 and concludes March 2.

Bryant and Dotson were named to the 2024 All-Big 12 First Team. Bryant’s selection — which was unanimous — was his third straight. He had 37 tackles and four interceptions in 12 games played last fall.

Dotson also had a memorable season. He had 49 tackles, five interceptions and one forced fumble in 12 games and earned honorable mention for the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year award.

Brown made the All-Big 12 second team and earned the highest Pro Football Focus grade among offensive linemen in the conference.

Surprisingly, Neal didn’t make an All-Big 12 team despite rushing for 1,226 yards on 219 carries (5.8-yard average) and 16 touchdowns. He also had 24 catches for 254 yards and a touchdown.

None of the four KU players is expected to be a first-round draft pick. Bryant is currently projected to be the first of the quartet drafted; some draft observers believe he will be a third-round selection.
