KU football needs offensive line help for 2025. A new transfer commitment could pay off
KU football’s busy offseason continued on Monday.
Tulsa offensive line transfer Jack Tanner announced his commitment to the Jayhawks on Monday evening.
The 6-foot-6, 295-pound offensive lineman has three years of eligibility remaining. He played in five games for Tulsa last season, starting four of them. According to Pro Football Focus, he played 437 total snaps.
The former 3-star recruit picked Tulsa over Memphis, Utah State, Princeton, Air Force and others coming out of high school. He’s the fourth transfer portal pickup in two days for the Jayhawks.
On Sunday, Kansas received commitments from South Alabama kicker Laith Marjan, former Alabama cornerback Jahlil Hurley and former Ball State wide receiver Cameron Pickett.
Tanner is the second offensive lineman pickup by KU after former Northwest Missouri State offensive lineman DeAndre Harper committed to Kansas on Friday night.
The Jayhawks will also bring back three offensive linemen who started games in thes fall: Bryce Foster, Kobe Baynes and Calvin Clements.
