Can Kansas football beat K-State for the first time since 2008? Former KU QB says yes
The Kansas Jayhawks play in-state rival K-State on Saturday in another iteration of the Sunflower Showdown.
KU (7-3, 4-3 Big 12) hasn’t beaten the Wildcats (7-3, 5-2) since 2008. The Wildcats are favored against the Jayhawks in a game scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.
In this week’s Rock Chalk Film Room video preview, KU beat writer Shreyas Laddha and former Jayhawks quarterback Carter Stanley discuss what Kansas must do in order to beat Kansas State.
On the offensive end, that means using designed QB runs and getting off to a fast start. Defensively, KU needs to bring pressure against K-State QB Will Howard.
