Kansas men’s basketball will play one exhibition game against the Puerto Rico Select Team and two versus the Bahamian National Team on its upcoming Aug. 1-8 summer basketball excursion to San Juan, Puerto Rico, KU announced Thursday.

Though not finalized, the Bahamas roster includes former KU guard Remy Martin, as well as NBA players Eric Gordon, Klay Thompson, Kai Jones, Buddy Hield and Deandre Ayton.

The Jayhawks will play all three games at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum located in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, with all three games broadcast on the Jayhawk Radio Network.

KU will meet the Puerto Rico Select Team at 11 a.m. (Central time) Aug. 3. KU will meet the Bahamian National Team at 4 p.m. on Aug. 5 and again at 11 a.m. on Aug. 7.

NCAA guidelines allows teams to take such trips once every four years. Teams are allowed to practice 10 days prior to the trip and on off-days while on the trip.

Kansas last took an exhibition trip in August 2017, when the Jayhawks went to Italy.

This will mark the fifth preseason exhibition excursion KU will be making in the Bill Self era. KU has traveled to Canada in 2004 and 2008, Switzerland and France in 2012, and Italy in 2017. KU also represented the USA at the 2015 World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea, where the Jayhawks won the gold medal.

Kansas is 92-9 all-time in exhibition games. The Jayhawks have won 33 consecutive exhibition contests dating to Oct. 30, 2012.

KU is 60-2 in exhibition play in Self’s 20 seasons at KU.
