Kansas’ 38th-annual Late Night in the Phog will be held Friday, Oct. 14 at Allen Fieldhouse, KU’s athletic department announced Thursday night on Twitter.

No details are yet available on starting time or when doors will open for the annual basketball event, which features scrimmages of the men’s and women’s teams as well as player dances and videos. For the past several years, a musical artist has performed to conclude the proceedings.

KU officials indicated Thursday’s announcement was a “save the date” item for fans with details to come at a later time.

Late Night 2022 will be the official start of KU’s 125th year of men’s basketball. The athletic department has indicated celebrations will include a reunion of all former players, coaches and staff members during a yet-to-be determined game.

Kansas celebrated 120 years of basketball in 2018 with more than 300 former players, coaches and administration returning to Allen Fieldhouse.
