About Michigan State: MSU is 4-6 in the Champions Classic. The Spartans have lost four of their last five in the event. The Spartans beat Duke, 75-69, in last year’s Champions Classic. That game was played on Dec. 1, 2020, in Durham, North Carolina because of the pandemic. … The Spartans were picked to finish sixth of 14 teams in the Big Ten’s preseason men’s basketball media poll.
