Two Wichitans claim All-Big 12 honors for Kansas

Wichitans Grace Hagan and Katie McClure earned All-Big 12 soccer honors on Monday.

Hagan, a sophomore forward from Kapaun Mount Carmel, is a first-team selection after leading the Jayhawks (10-4-4) with seven goals, two of them game-winners. She also has three assists.

McClure, a midfielder from Maize High, is a unanimous pick for the All-Freshman honors. She scored five goals and led KU with 47 shots.

KU’s Tayler Estrada, Hanna Kallmaier and Kayla Morrison were named to the second team. Addisyn Merrick joined McClure on the All-Freshman team.

Kansas, the No. 2 seed, plays TCU in the Big 12 Championship at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Kansas City at Swope Soccer Village.
