Kansas State to play future basketball tournaments in Kansas City, Brooklyn and Las Vegas

The Kansas State basketball team is looking forward to playing three games at the Maui Invitational this week, but it will stay within the contiguous 48 states for early season tournaments in future seasons.

Bruce Weber said Sunday that the Wildcats already know where they will play in each of the next three seasons.

Next year, they will head to Kansas City, Mo. for the CBE Classic at Sprint Center along with Missouri, North Carolina and Northwestern.

In 2016, Weber said K-State will play in a tournament at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., against a four-team field that will be announced at a later date.

And in 2017, Weber said the Wildcats will travel to Las Vegas for a neutral-court tournament at Orleans Arena.
