Kansas State suspends Marcus Foster, Malek Harris
Kansas State announced Wednesday that it has suspended Marcus Foster and Malek Harris for a violation of team rules.
The length of the suspension is unknown, but neither player will take the court Wednesday night against Texas Tech.
“Our players have expectations and there are consequences when you don’t live up to those expectations,” K-State basketball coach Bruce Weber said in a statement. “Hopefully, they will learn from this experience and make the necessary progress to rejoin our team.”
Foster is K-State’s leading scorer, averaging 14.0 points and 2.4 rebounds. Harris has played sparingly as a reserve this season, averaging 2.2 points and 2.2 rebounds, but he has played a more meaningful role off the bench in recent games.
Earlier this season, Weber benched Foster for two games for not playing up to his expectations.
