Kansas and Kansas State both learned the kickoff times for three upcoming football games on Wednesday.

K-State will begin the season with a Friday night game at Stanford on Sept. 2. The game will begin at 8 p.m. and be televised on FS1. After a week off, the Wildcats will return home for a pair of nonconference games. The first, against Florida Atlantic, will start at 1:30 p.m. and appear on FSN. K-State will finish the nonconference portion of its season with a 6:10 p.m. game against Missouri State on Sept. 24. That game will not be televised, but it will be available online.

Kansas will open the season at home against Rhode Island at 6 p.m. on Sept. 3 in a game that will be televised on Jayhawk TV. Up next is a 1:30 p.m. home game against Ohio on FSN. Kickoff for its final nonconference game at Memphis will be announced at a later time.

But the Jayhawks already know the start time for one of their conference games. Kansas will head to Texas Tech for a Thursday night game on Sept. 21. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. on FS1.

All other kickoff teams will be announced during the season. Television networks usually make their selections one or two weeks in advance.
