Kansas State football APR score tops Big 12 for third straight year
Kansas State football is once again on top of the Big 12 when it comes to Academic Progress Rate.
With a single-year APR score of 975, the Wildcats posted the highest mark of any Big 12 football program for the third straight year. Texas was a close second at 971, followed by Baylor at 969. Kansas was ninth with a score of 936.
K-State football had APR scores of 976 and 968 the past two years.
The NCAA released APR scores for all of its schools on Wednesday.
K-State received passing APR marks in all of its sports. All 13 of its teams scored 944 or higher. Teams that fail to score 930 are subject to penalties and postseason bans.
Men’s basketball also posted a APR score of 975.
Two K-State teams received perfect APR scores of 1,000 -- men’s golf and women’s cross country. The cross country team achieved a perfect score for the third consecutive year, while the golf team posted its fourth straight perfect number.
