Glenn Gronkowski to join former Kansas State teammate Cody Whitehair at Senior Bowl
Former Kansas State fullback Glenn Gronkowski will join left tackle Cody Whitehair at the Senior Bowl later this month.
Gronkowski left K-State early as a redshirt junior to pursue a NFL career, but he qualified for the post-college game as a college graduate.
K-State fans can check out the two former Wildcats in the Senior Bowl, which showcases more than 100 top draft hopefuls, on Jan. 30. The NFL Network will televise the game live from Mobile, Ala.
Gronkowski played in 39 games during his three-year career at K-State, earning 20 starts. He was an all-conference fullback, recording 369 receiving yards and five touchdowns. He is one of the few players in school history to score a touchdown via catch, run and pass. He is looking to join his older brother Rob, a tight end for the New England Patriots, in the NFL next season.
He is considered by most to be a late-round selection or undrafted free agent.
Whitehair was one of the top blockers in the Big 12 last season, and will try to improve his draft stock at the Senior Bowl.
