Kicking: Freshman Matthew McCrane took over for Jack Cantele as the primary kicker four games into the season. He has connected on 16 of 17 kicks, splitting the uprights from as far away as 53 yards.

Punting: Nick Walsh averaged 40.5 yards this season with 14 kicks downed inside the opponents’ 20.

Returns: Tyler Lockett had 318 yards returning kicks and 361 yards returning punts, scoring on two punt returns. Some teams try to kick away from him, but Morgan Burns has also been effective, taking a kickoff to the end zone against Oklahoma State.

UCLA

Kicking: Kaimi Fairbairn made 16 of 20 kicks with a long of 47 yards.

Punting: Matt Mengel averages 39.7 yards with five kicks of more than 50 yards and 19 downed inside the 20-yard line.

Returns: Ishmael Adams was nearly as dangerous as Lockett, piling up 184 yards as a punt returner on top of 530 yards and a score as a kick returner.
