Kansas State safety Kaleb Prewett arrested on underage drinking charge
Kaleb Prewett, a sophomore defensive back with the Kansas State football team, was arrested Sunday morning in Manhattan on the charge of consumption and purchase of liquor by a minor.
Prewett is 20. He is from Blue Springs, Mo.
Riley County police arrested Prewett at 1:16 a.m. at the 1600 block of Fairfield Avenue. He was released on $500 bond, according to the department’s daily arrest report.
K-State policy is to handle arrest discipline internally. The Wildcats finished the regular season 6-6 and will next play in a bowl. Prewett has played significantly for the Wildcats this season, making 49 tackles and breaking up one pass.
