Running back Tre Bryant de-commits from Kansas State
Kansas State football took a recruiting hit late Wednesday night.
Tre Bryant, a three-star running back from St. Louis, de-committed from the Wildcats, re-opening his recruitment with Minnesota, Nebraska and several other teams showing interest.
Bryant announced the decision via Twitter.
"I would like to thank Kansas State University and it’s football program for giving me the opportunity to continue my athletic and academic career at their university," Bryant wrote. "After taking it over with my family and coaches, I have decided to officially de-commit from Kansas State."
— Tre Bryant (@TreBryant_8) November 5, 2015Bryant orally committed to K-State in July, and the 14th ranked prospect in Missouri, according to Rivals, was viewed as a nice addition to the Wildcats 2016 recruiting class. He was K-State’s only running back commit.
The decision to consider other schools doesn’t come as a surprise, as Bryant recently took an official visit to Minnesota. He told 247sports that he wanted to pay special attention to how the Gophers used their running backs. He is taking an official visit to Nebraska this weekend.
