Kansas State’s Curry Sexton named academic All-American
MANHATTAN – Kansas State senior Curry Sexton was named an academic All-American on Thursday.
The receiver was one of 50 players nationally to be named. With a 3.45 GPA, Sexton, a marketing and management major, is the 27th player in school history to be earn academic All-America status and the first since Tysyn Hartman in 2011.
Sexton earned an undergraduate degree last year and is currently working on a second degree. He is a four-time academic All-Big 12 selection.
He is also a contender for all-conference honors this year. The Abilene product is in the midst of his best season, catching 67 passes for 940 yards and five touchdowns. Only six receivers in school history have topped 1,000 yards in a season.
