VIDEO: Michael Bishop describes his favorite play, game as Kansas State QB
Michael Bishop is one of the top quarterbacks in Kansas State history. The Wildcats won 22 games during his two seasons in Manhattan and rose all the way to No. 1 in the national rankings following an 11-0 start in 1998.
Kansas State is honoring Bishop, now a high school football coach in Texas, this weekend by inducting him into the school’s Ring of Honor. So he was back in town Friday to kick off the celebration.
He reflected on several of his favorite K-State memories while chatting with the Eagle. His favorite game was a 40-30 victory over Nebraska in 98, the Wildcats’ first win over the Cornhuskers in a generation. His favorite play came the year before in Fiesta Bowl.
You can watch that and more in the video above.
