K-State’s Bill Snyder part of 2015 College Football Hall of Fame ballot
Bill Snyder could soon join the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame.
The Kansas State football coach was among the 162 players and 31 coaches listed on the organization’s 2015 ballot, released Wednesday.
The announcement of the 2015 class will be made on Jan. 9 in Arlington, Texas, leading up to the national championship game.
As an active coach, Snyder is an unusual inclusion on the ballot. In order for an active coach to be eligible for the hall, he must be at least 75. Snyder turned 75 earlier this season.
Snyder has won more games than any other coach in K-State history, going 183-91 and guiding the Wildcats to 15 bowl games and two Big 12 championships. He should continue to add to those numbers. K-State (5-1, 3-0 Big 12) is currently the lone Big 12 team without a conference loss.
