Kansas State’s basketball schedule for the 2026-27 season is coming into focus.

The Big 12 announced its scheduling matrix on Thursday, which revealed the three conference opponents that the Wildcats will play home and away next year.

K-State will play Arizona State, Cincinnati and Kansas twice next season. The Sunflower Showdown is a protected rivalry in the Big 12, so it was a given that the Jayhawks and Wildcats would play at both Allen Fieldhouse and Bramlage Coliseum. But there other two opponents are a surprise.

In the past, the Big 12 has worked to pair K-State with old Big Eight rivals like Iowa State and Oklahoma State. Not next season. The Wildcats will play a pair of new Big 12 members home and away.

In addition to those six conference games, K-State will also play six league opponents at home and six more on the road in Casey Alexander’s first season as head coach.

The home opponents: Arizona, Colorado, Houston, Oklahoma State, TCU and Texas Tech.

The road opponents: Baylor, BYU, UCF, Iowa State, Utah and West Virginia.

It would have been interesting to see Baylor (and former K-State head coach Jerome Tang) visit Bramlage Coliseum next season. But that will be an away game for the Wildcats.

Times and dates for the games will be announced at a later time, along with TV information.

In nonconference play, K-State will face South Dakota State, California Northridge, Lindenwood, Omaha, IU Indy, Montana and Creighton at home next season. The Wildcats will also face Wichita State at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City and Seton Hall on the road.

K-State will also face Gonzaga and then other teams at the Players Era tournament in Las Vegas.
