Collin Klein has landed his first incoming transfer as Kansas State’s football coach.

Two days after the transfer portal officially opened, the Wildcats picked up a commitment from former Arkansas defensive back Keshawn Davila.

He is the first player that K-State has landed during the 2026 transfer cycle. But he won’t be the last. The Wildcats have been hard at work trying to line up commitments since transfer season began on Friday morning.

Davila is a 6-foot-1 and 165-pound senior defensive back who saw action in 12 games as a cornerback with the Razorbacks last season. He finished the year with two tackles and two pass breakups.

He has an obvious connection to the K-State coaching staff.

The Wildcats hired new defensive backs coach Marcus Woodson from Arkansas last month, and he tutored Avila while they were both with the Razorbacks.

Before that, he was a four-star prospect in junior college, playing for Northwest Mississippi Community College. While there, he made 23 tackles and three interceptions as a sophomore to go along with 35 tackles and two interceptions as a freshman.

Davila is originally from Tampa.
