  • Qua Moss exits Kansas State after one season and will transfer elsewhere.
  • Moss produced 41 tackles, two interceptions and one forced fumble in 2025.
  • He joins three other known transfers as K-State navigates roster turnover.

Qua Moss made an immediate impact during his first season with the Kansas State football team.

But it appears as though he will not be back for Year 2.

Moss has decided to transfer away from the Wildcats and continue his college football career elsewhere. His agents informed several media outlets about the decision on Thursday, less than 24 hours after K-State head coach Chris Klieman announced his retirement.

Moss was arguably the top newcomer on the K-State football roster this season. The 5-foot-10 and 185-pound defensive back made 41 tackles and created three turnovers during his time in a purple uniform after transferring in from West Georgia. He grabbed a pair of interceptions, forced one fumble and delivered several big hits.

Teammates have labeled his athletic interception against UCF as a candidate for play of the year.

Late in the season, Moss also helped out on offense, as he rushed for 26 yards on a pair of trick plays.

He wasn’t the only K-State football player who announced his intentions to transfer on Thursday.

Brayden Loftin, a 6-foot-5 and 230-pound junior tight end, announced that he will enter the transfer portal as a graduate transfer. He made six catches for 55 yards this season. As a sophomore, he grabbed 11 passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns.

Amarion Fortenberry, a defensive back who made 13 tackles this season after transferring in from South Alabama, is also on the move. So, too, is tight end Andrew Metzger.

That makes seven known outgoing transfers for K-State.
