It didn’t take long for one of Kansas State’s running backs to make a decision about his future.

JB Price, a 5-foot-10 and 196-pound redshirt freshman from Overland Park, intends to enter the transfer portal and continue his college football career elsewhere, according to a report from On3.

Price spent two years in Manhattan. He watched from the sideline with a redshirt last season. Then he rushed for 18 yards on nine carries this year. He saw all of his carries early on in games against Army and Arizona. He didn’t record a statistic in any of K-State’s final eight games.

K-State signed Price out of Blue Valley High School, where he rushed for 1,979 yards and 20 touchdowns over his final two seasons as a recruit.

He will join former K-State running back Dylan Edwards in the transfer portal when it opens next month.

The Wildcats concluded the regular season with a 24-14 victory over Colorado on Saturday at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
