Kansas State Wildcats land running back from Texas as latest football recruit
Another day, another new football recruit for the Kansas State football team.
HD Davis, a 6-foot and 205-pound running back from Wolfe City High School in Texas, has announced his intentions to play for the Wildcats.
His commitment continues a hot streak for the Wildcats when it comes to recruiting. Head coach Chris Klieman has landed 10 new prospects this month, with six of them pledging their services to K-State in the past week.
Overall, the K-State recruiting class for 2026 now boasts 14 known members.
Davis is a bit of a hidden gem, as he doe not currently have a star rating from any of the major recruiting services. But that doesn’t mean he has gone unnoticed.
The running back chose K-State over Air Force, Cornell, Navy, Rice, Tulsa, UTEP, Wofford, Wyoming and Yale.
K-State played host to Davis on a recruiting visit to campus last weekend. The Wildcats offered him earlier this year and built a relationship with him over the past few months.
Last year, Davis totaled 2,789 yards and 33 touchdowns on 267 carries for Wolfe City.
