About Mississippi Valley State (1-3)

The Delta Devils might be the worst team in college basketball. Mississippi Valley State ranks 364th out of 364 teams in Bart Torvik’s ratings database. That shouldn’t come as a surprise considering they rate 360 or lower in most statistics. Teams are shooting 67% from 2-point range against them and 37.9% from 3-point range. Their only win came against (not kidding) Mississippi University for Women, which apparently has a men’s basketball team.

About Kansas State (2-1)

The Wildcats suffered their first loss of the season last week against LSU. K-State struggled to rebound in that game and turned the ball over too many times against an opponent from the SEC. Jerome Tang’s team will look for a better performance against the Delta Devils. This could be a good opportunity for the Wildcats to empty their bench and let the entire roster get on the box score.

K-State game prediction

The Wildcats should be able to win this game by any score that Jerome Tang desires.

Mississippi Valley State has already lost to Iowa State 83-44, to Missouri 111-39 and to Texas 89-43.

There will be a massive talent and depth discrepancy in this game that K-State will be able to exploit for 40 minutes. K-State played a similar opponent last season and crushed Central Arkansas (ranked No. 337 nationally) 100-56 at home.

I’m expecting about the same on Tuesday.

K-State 95, Mississippi Valley State 55

Last game prediction: K-State 71, LSU 66

Actual score: LSU 76, K-State 65

Season record: 2-1

Season record ATS: 1-2

Season record O/U: 2-1
