A coveted local recruit is ready to choose between KU, K-State, OU and Florida State
One of the top football recruits in the Sunflower State is ready to announce where he will play next season at the college level.
Michael Boganowski, a four-star linebacker from Junction City, has announced that he will publicly make his decision at 4 p.m. on October 19 during a ceremony at his high school.
He will choose between four finalists: Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma and Florida State.
Lance Leipold, Chris Klieman, Brent Venables and Mike Norvell will all be nervously monitoring the announcement, as Boganowski is considered a top target for all four teams.
Kansas and K-State, in particular, have made Boganowski a priority during the current recruiting cycle.
Boganowski has visited both Lawrence and Manhattan several times over the past few months. Both the Jayhawks and Wildcats would love to land his services later this month.
He also holds scholarship offers from traditional powers such as USC and Tennessee
The 6-foot-2 and 205-pound linebacker is having a successful senior year for the Blue Jays, though he was forced to sit out his team’s last game against Manhattan with an injury. Boganowski made 123 tackles as a junior, while also contributing on offense.
It is easy to see why he is one of the most heavily recruited players in the state.
We will know which college won his services in the near future.
