Kansas State Wildcats land football recruit who was previously committed to Colorado
The Kansas State football team has added two new members to its 2023 recruiting class.
A few days after the Wildcats demolished the Oklahoma State Cowboys 48-0 they scored another victory in the form of three-star wide receiver Wesley Watson and three-star offensive lineman Devin Vass.
Watson is a 6-foot-1 and 185-pound playmaker from College Station, Texas. He announced his intentions to play for Chris Klieman and K-State on Tuesday morning. Vass, a 6-foot-6 and 275-pound offensive tackle from Lakeland, Florida, followed his lead a few hours later with an announcement of his own.
Watson was previously committed to the Colorado Buffaloes, but re-evaluated his options following a recruiting visit to Manhattan over the weekend.
He also held scholarship offers from Houston, Oklahoma State, SMU, Tulane, Utah and many other schools.
Vass chose the Wildcats over Kansas, Maryland, Memphis, Missouri, Pittsburgh and Vanderbilt.
With their additions, K-State’s 2023 recruiting class now features 21 members.
Vass and Watson are also the first new pledges that the Wildcats have landed since wide receiver Jayce Brown committed to K-State on October 6.
