Kansas State’s Wednesday basketball game canceled due to COVID issues at North Florida
First Morgan State. Now North Florida.
A pair of men’s basketball teams that were supposed to play Kansas State at 7 p.m. on Wednesday inside Bramlage Coliseum have been forced to withdraw because of COVID-19 issues within their rosters.
K-State announced Wednesday morning that its game against North Florida has been canceled. The Ospreys were quickly added to the schedule as a replacement for Morgan State after they were forced to pull out of the game last week.
The Wildcats are next scheduled to play at Oklahoma at 7 p.m. on Saturday. But with game cancellations taking place all across the country right now, fans may want to mark that game on their calendars in pencil instead of ink.
Fans with tickets for Wednesday’s canceled game will receive information about a refund from the K-State ticket office via e-mail.
K-State is off to an 8-3 start this season. With road victories over Nebraska and Wichita State, they enter the Big 12 portion of their schedule with legitimate hopes of pushing for a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
The Wildcats were hoping to play one final tune-up game before moving on to conference play. But that won’t be possible now that they lost their final nonconference game of December twice in the span of a week.
