About Tulsa (8-4): The Golden Hurricane are coming off a pair of losses against Arkansas and Colorado State after starting the season 8-2. Their last game was a triple-overtime loss to the Rams. But Tulsa has found success against K-State in the past. It has won its last two meetings against the Wildcats, with the first coming at Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita and the second in Tulsa last year. Both of those victories came as a shock, considering K-State went on to have terrific seasons. Jeriah Horne is Tulsa’s leading scorer, averaging 10.8 points per game.

About Kansas State (6-5): The Wildcats are off to a disappointing start following the departures of Barry Brown, Kamau Stokes and Dean Wade. They have lost their past two games against Mississippi State and Saint Louis. There could be some changes to the starting lineup in this game, as backup point guard David Sloan and reserve forward Levi Stockard have been performing well off the bench. Bruce Weber hasn’t committed to any new lineups, but he certainly seems ready to redistribute minutes. K-State is looking to enter Big 12 play with a victory.

Prediction: K-State has struggled mightily this season and failed to win its past two games against Tulsa, but the Wildcats seem due for a victory here. A week off and the home crowd might be enough to get them a win against an opponent that is riding a losing streak of its own.

K-State 64, Tulsa 60.
