Kansas State Wildcats land second member of 2021 football recruiting class
Kansas State football coaches are currently working hard to put the finishing touches on the recruiting class of 2020, but the Wildcats received some good news for 2021 on Wednesday.
DaVonte Pritchard, a 6-foot-1 and 195-pound junior defender from Gardner Edgerton High School committed to K-State and football coach Chris Klieman with an announcement on social media.
Pritchard could end up playing defensive back or linebacker for the Wildcats.
He previously visited K-State in October and watched the Wildcats defeat Oklahoma at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. K-State is the only school that has offered Pritchard a scholarship thus far, but he has received recruiting interest from other teams.
Pritchard is the second high school prospect to become a member of K-State’s 2021 recruiting class, joining Dorian Stephens, a 6-foot-2 athlete from Stillwell.
K-State has 21 pledges lined up for its 2020 recruiting class.
