About Florida A&M (0-5): The last time K-State hosted a game at Bramlage Coliseum, fans watched the Wildcats slog their way to a 62-51 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff, a team ranked 339th (out of 353) in Ken Pomeroy’s college basketball ratings index. On Monday, K-State fans will get to see even worse opponent. Florida A&M checks in at No. 341 after starting the season 0-5. All of the Rattlers’ losses have come by double digits, except for an 85-82 loss against South Dakota.

About Kansas State (4-2): The Wildcats are coming off a disappointing showing at the Fort Myers Tip-Off. K-State entered that tournament with an undefeatead record and then limped home with a pair of losses against Pittsburgh and Bradley. Some problems were exposed in Florida, such as mediocre three-point defense, a frontcourt that lacks depth and an offense that needs more proven scorers. K-State will try to get back on track against a winless opponent at home. The Wildcats are once again expected to be without starting forward Montavious Murphy.

Prediction: It might not be easy for K-State to get energized for this game after spending last week in Florida and Marquette up next on the schedule. Still, the Wildcats should be able to handle the Rattlers at home.

K-State 67, Florida A&M 52.
