About Pennsylvania (4-0): The Quakers are undefeated early on this season. They advanced to the semifinals of the Paradise Jam by defeating Northern Iowa in the opening round. Penn played in the NCAA Tournament last season and pushed Kansas for much of the game as a No. 16 seed.
About Kansas State (3-0): The Wildcats are coming off their best victory of the season, a blowout win over Eastern Kentucky in the opening round of the Paradise Jam. Cartier Diarra was a difference-maker in that game. But the Wildcats are still struggling to make outside shots. They may need to finally shoot at a higher rate to win this game.
Prediction: K-State 72, Penn 65 — This might be the hardest game of the Paradise Jam for the Wildcats. Penn is a well-coached, experienced team. The Quakers will challenge K-State. But Bruce Weber’s team has more depth and better talent. That should shine through on a neutral court.
