Here’s a look at the Kansas State Wildcats’ 2019 football schedule

Kansas State’s 2019 football schedule will feature some unusual quirks, including multiple bye weeks and a Thursday game.

The Wildcats unveiled their 12-game slate for next season on Thursday, along with every other team in the Big 12.

Here’s what it looks like:

K-State will begin the season at home against Nicholls State on Aug. 31 and follow that up with another home game against Bowling Green. The Wildcats will round out their nonconference schedule with a road trip to Mississippi State.

There’s nothing unusual about those three games, but there are some new dynamics once Big 12 play begins. Following their game with the Bulldogs, the Wildcats will have two weeks to prepare for their conference opener at Oklahoma State on Sept. 28. They will follow that up with a home game against Baylor.

Then comes another bye week before K-State hosts TCU for a Thursday night game on Oct. 17.

That will give the Wildcats a few extra days to prepare for their next game against Oklahoma.

K-State will finish the year by playing OU, at Kansas, at Texas, West Virginia, at Texas Tech and Iowa State in six consecutive weeks. The season-finale against the Cyclones will be held on Nov. 30.

The Big 12 championship game is scheduled for Dec. 7.
