K-State women stay unbeaten by topping LSU

Kansas State’s women’s basketball team improved to 5-0 with a 69-54 victory over LSU on Friday in the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

KSU’s Kindred Wesemann led all scorers with 24 points. Teammates Breanna Lewis and Kaylee Page had nine points each.

LSU trailed by two at halftime but scored eight third-quarter points, training 51-38 entering the fourth quarter.

The Wildcats, 5-0 for the second time in coach Jeff Mittie’s three seasons, take on UTEP at 2:15 p.m. Saturday in their final game of the tournament.
