Brett Bell, a former tight end at Bishop Carroll, will transfer from Kansas State at the end of the current semester.

Bell announced the decision on Twitter and didn’t mention a new school.

“I want to thank Coach (Dana) Dimel and Coach (Bill Snyder) for giving me the opportunity to play at Kansas State,” Bell wrote. “I have learned a lot from all my coaches and I thank them for that. After my time being here, I have decided I will be transferring schools in December and am (excited) for what’s (to) come.”

Bell was a two-star recruit coming out of high school in 2015. He deferred enrollment at K-State until last January and participated in spring practices leading up to this season. The 6-foot-6, 247-pounder has not played in a K-State game this year.

At Carroll, he grabbed 11 passes for 147 yards and two touchdowns as a senior.
