Texas Tech outlasts K-State in overtime

Texas Tech’s Ashley Battle hit a jumper with 16 seconds left in regulation to tie the score and the Red Raiders opened overtime with a 9-0 run for a 74-68 win over Kansas State on Sunday in Manhattan.

Trailing 58-50 with 4:02 left, the Wildcats rallied to take a 62-60 lead with 34 seconds left before Battle’s big shot.

K-State (15-9, 5-8 Big 12) was led by Breanna Lewis’ 19 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks — her second straight double-double — and 14 points and three steals from Collegiate product Ashia Woods.

Rayven Brooks led Texas Tech (15-10, 5-8) with a game-high 26 points and five assists. Battle added 14 points.
