Salukis pounce on Wichita State mistakes
The Southern Illinois women turned 19 Wichita State turnovers into 22 points on the way to an 80-66 win over the Shockers on Sunday in Carbondale, Ill.
Rangie Bessard led WSU (7-19, 4-11 MVC) with 23 points, while TaQuandra Mike added 19 as the Shockers shot a season-high 60.9 percent from the field, hitting 28 of 48 shots.
Rishonda Napier led SIU (17-9, 10-4) with 30 points.
WSU returns to action Saturday at Missouri State.
